30TH AND 31ST CONVOCATION CEREMONIES.

It was a Blue coloured atmosphere full of life on the 31st of January, 2021. On the occasion of the 30th and 31st convocation ceremonies of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria.

A memorable day indeed for all staff and student of the university as well as all parents of the graduands present, everyone will have a story to tell as the desirousness to feel among the fortunate graduants knew no bound

The total of 6,257 students graduated from all the 71 departments in the 13 Faculties and 3 Colleges of Olabisi Onabanjo University, making Fatima Awolumate of the Faculty of Agricultural Economics in the 2019/2020 academic session scored a CGPA of 4.82 to emerge as the best graduating student of her set.

In the 2020/2021 academic session: the overall best student goes to Iloka Ebuka of the Faculty of Pharmacy in the 2020/2021 academic session, he graduated with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.92.

Also, the second best graduating Student was from the same department (Pharmacy) named Odunayo Omolashe, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.90.

While the third best graduating student for the 2020/2021 academic session emerged from the Industrial Chemistry department, facullty of Science, named Talabi Aisha Omodunke, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.89

The visitor, Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Monday 31st, announced that automatic employment would be awarded to the two overall best graduating student for each session and he gave them  N1million each to encourage all other  students in the school that there is dignity in labour and that school is not a scam as believed by the youths nowadays.

The Governor while speaking, he said "My advice to you is to find a good mentor to help you actualise your dreams. Do not work in isolation, but recognise the value of learning from others and the value of networking.""In the end, you will be defined by your commitments. These are the ingredients for success and fulfillment. Shortcuts do not take anybody to any good place."

The convocation was a great deal for the great Olabisi Onabanjo University, putting a bright colour on the university, and writing her name on the marble stone of life.

All thanks be to Almighty God, who made the 4 years course a smooth one all through. Abd-Samad graduated same day with praise and gratitude to Almighty Allah. Al-Hamdulillah Rabbil 'Alameen.
